Mengeham at Chichester Harbour Race Week
The 60th Anniversary of Federation Week was in the best traditions of the week a wonderful atmosphere crossing the boundaries of clubs, classes and generations. Mengeham was there in strength a couple in each of the Fast handicap and the Finns, three in the 2000s and a junior, plus an army of at least 15 volunteers. MRSC Junior Week was back again with a vengeance!
What a week! 38 Mengeham Juniors and Juniors from four other harbour clubs. Great sailing winds, fleets of sailors wanting to sail hard and improve their sailing skills and onshore and water safety teams raring to go! For the first time in many years Red and Blue Fleets got the full ten race series in, and Green Fleet raced well too, having gained in confidence to complete a good windward leg! Red Fleet
