Notes for PROs & Race Teams
Thank you for volunteering to support our activities on the water. These notes are designed to help PRO's and race team members:
RACE DUTY PREPARATION:
7 days before your duty you will receive an email reminder about your duty
Please check the website to see who is your PRO/APRO/Rib Crews and Petrol boat crews.
Go to https://www.mengeham.org.uk/. Click on 'Calendar' in the top menu and select your race. To see the Duty Roster for your race and to see who has entered the race you need to be logged into your members portal - you will see a message that says ' Please log-in to view and make bookings', please enter your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, please click on 'Forgotten Password and a new one will be emailed to you immediately.
Once logged in, scroll down the event page to see the number of people that have entered the race (click on 'Show entrants' to see the names and boat types)
and the full duty roster for the race. If 'Pending' is beside someone's name it means that they have not confirmed their duty. If you are the PRO is it worth contacting them to make sure that you have a full race team. them to make sure that they are coming. To contact a member of your race team, click on their name and you can send them an email via the Members Directory on the website - or you can look them up in the Year Book for telephone number. Please note that newer members will not be in the Year Book but will be listed in the Members Directory on the website.
For Harbour Starts: PRO/APRO are asked to turn up 2 hours before the race start time to prepare a course, flags etc. Race team members need to be at the club 1.5 hours before the race start to launch ribs and set the course. These times are on the duty roster.
For Club Line Starts: PRO/APRO are asked to turn up 1.5 hours before the race start time to prepare a course, flags etc. Race team members need to be at the club 1 hour before the race start to launch ribs and set the course. These times are on the duty roster.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE CLUB PLEASE SIGN IN SO WE KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ARRIVED FOR YOUR DUTY. YOU CAN DO THIS ON THE SING-IN SHEETS ON A CLIP BOARD IN THE BOUY STORE OR ON YOUR PHONE - open the club website in your browser and click on the first item on the page called 'Check in'.
Competitors for Club Racing are now being encouraged to 'book in' using the new club website. The Calendar on the club website also lets you see who is on your race team.
To see who is on your team and who is planning to race please go to the Calendar - and select the race on which you are on duty (You will be prompted to Login to your Portal as this information is only for members)
