DragonForce report from Sunday Nov 20
Published 00:00 on 21 Nov 2022
Lighter winds than we have experienced recently which made it necessary for all competitors to have to concentrate. Fantastic fleet with 13 boats out at one stage. A good course with a challenging beat to the first mark enabled everyone a chance to lead the fleet. A real mixed bag of finishing positions for each race and some great mess ups within the last short beat to the finish line on more than one occasion letting back markers through to take glory.
The pond was looking excellent and the bigger sailing area achieved by the weed clearing is fantastic (helped by a little bit of rain maybe).
A steady improvement in the fleets adherence to sailing rules and normally completing the necessary penalties helps everyone enjoy the competitive racing (I will take a penalty as one of the offender's this week).
If any member would like to try a sail with a Dragon Force we would love to see them, just pop down on a Sunday morning and have a watch and we can set you up with a boat.
Adam Notley.
