Goodbyes and Hellos

On Saturday 6th November we held our 71st Annual General Meeting and said au revoir to our outgoing first lady Commodore, Joanna Lewis. She has steered us through a very difficult time for everyone and though the club is not completely out of the woods or the pond yet, we are definitely getting there. Now we have welcomed a new Commodore, John Barnett, a long time member of the club and who is equally at home on a cruiser as on a narrow boat. We hope that it will be plain sailing for him with a good crew to back him up.
As usual there was much to debate and vote on as we have also voted on to the General Committee a new Vice Commodore, David Hughes, Hon. Secretary, Jane Robertson, Hon. Membership Secretary, Sarah Mowbray and a new Hon. Estates Secretary, Trevor Mugridge, also a New Social Secretary, Nicola Whitfield and heading up our new Webteam, Mark Easton. In case you don't know them their photos will soon be up on the wall near the entrance to the Clubhouse.
