Cruiser Rally 5 - Ryde Carnival

Ryde Illuminated Carnival.
Saturday 5th September @ 8pm
High water (Sat 5th) 18.31hrs; HT 3.96m

Despite the awkward tides, a rally is being proposed to go to Ryde for the carnival. Sign up list on the notice board or sing up on this page or contact Martin our Cruiser Secretary
The plan is to watch the procession and then find food in Ryde. Most likely the Ryde Castle pub or Hong Kong Express on the seafront. A pontoon party may happen prior to the procession

Ryde has a fairly restricted tidal window for entry, so each boat must check their pilotage and ensure entry/exit to the harbour is within 1 hr (approx) of high water (dependant on draft). If in doubt, call the harbourmaster at Ryde for latest information and advice.

The sign up list is so I can warn Ryde we are coming ( and hopefully we will be grouped together). Each boat to settle marina accounts directly. The marina does have power now, for those that need it.
Apologies, timing is a little vague as those coming on the Saturday will need to be prompt to catch the procession, so eating out is likely after the procession and may be hectic.
