Burns Night Supper and Quiz 22 Jan 2022

A splendid Burns Night was had by all.

With the usual happy heckling from the teams Sylvia the quiz Master/Mistress/Person read out the questions and subsequent answers. The quiz stumped some whilst others excelled. The winning team securing victory by just ½ a point. Congratulations to the Bagpipers - Sue, Ray, Gary and Dee, who with only four in their team pulled it off. They generously donated the £30 winnings to the Jeremy Strugnell Fund.

Kerry Jockette Stanton paraded the Haggis and safely delivered it to Bill Strachan who resplendent in kilt and tam o' shanter! Addressed The Haggis! Who knew Bill was such a dramatic actor?! He read Robbie Burns poem 'The Address to the Haggis' with dramatic effect and with great gusto stabbed the Haggis several times to ensure its demise! Do not get on the wrong side of Bill's boat you have been warned!

Shaun Lambert read the Celtic Grace and the Haggis supper was served. Everyone said how tasty it was including the vegetarian version and the Whisky, cream sauce was delicious.
