Congratulations to Niall Houston who won the Sailing Solutions Topper 4.2 National Series 1 at  Rutland SC 20th/21st February 2010.

Chalet Mengeham - Alpine evening

Miles of Salt Water by Eddie Ault

In November 2009 the MRSC Cruiser committee awarded me the Log Trophy, for the most miles sailed in the year. Engraved on it are my name, ‘2009’, and ‘5018’.  I am inordinately and indecently proud of this, and liable to go on and on about it. So when people say to me “oh, that’s a lot of miles, was it somewhere nice, then?” I have to try VERY HARD to sound humble and nonchalant. But here goes…more


Well done Glen

In September 2009 club member, Glen Hardy, was the first person to circumnavigated Hayling Island as a swimmer pulled along by an aqua scooter, a distance of about 15 nautical miles raising money for the RNLI. On Sunday 31st January Glen, accompanied by some of his support team, Mum, Laura and Dad, Dave, along with Eddie Ault and Jack Watts, presented the lifeboat station with a cheque for £400.

MRSC "Wrinklies"
