| LAUNCH OF
"THERAPY" - 7th April 2007 |
|
Mengeham Rythe
Sailing Club launched a new RIB named "Therapy" on Easter Saturday in memory of club
member who sadly died last year. The estate of the late member made an
anonymous and significant donation to the club, enabling the purchase of the RIB
which will mainly be used for junior sail training and events.
After the boat was named “Therapy” it
was used during an “Oppie” sail training session held that day. |
|
MRSC also received a
donation of £300 towards the cost of the RIB from SC Johnson Wax,
based at Frimley. The company has a fund called “Employee
Contribution” which is given to members of their staff who help in
non-profit making organisations. Club member, Gordon Gravestock, who
helps with junior training, received this donation from his company
for the club. |

The Easter weekend was
particularly busy at MRSC with three days of racing, one day of junior
sail training and a boat jumble which raised £32 for the RNLI and £385
for the Jeremy Stugnall Fund which is used to promote junior training
at the club. |
