JUNIOR WEEK - 31st JULY to 5th AUGUST 2006

Mengeham Rythe Sailing Club hosted its annual Junior Week with over 60 boats taking part. The boats were split into 3 fleets according to the abilities of the young sailors. The more experienced racers sailed off Pilsey Sand with the less experienced sailors enjoying the more sheltered area on West Mud. The young sailors with no racing experience enjoyed the quieter waters near the clubhouse sailing in Optimists. Unfortunately racing was cancelled on the first 2 days as the wind was too strong but the juniors enjoyed the paddling relay races in Optimists. It was too windy on the Wednesday for many of the competitors but fortunately the last 2 days were better with racing taking place for all the fleets.
