Sailors on Hayling Island showed their support for the
Rowans Hospice by taking part the annual
Pursuit Race organised by MRSC.
In the blustery
conditions, 29 boats crossed the start line
off the clubhouse. The strong breeze (5
gusting 6) resulted in a few capsizes and a
number of retirements.
Over £500 was
raised for the Rowans Hospice from the
entries, a raffle, tombola, refreshments and
some generous donations.
MRSC would like to thank the local businesses
who donated prizes for the raffle and helped to make this a
successful fund raising event .
