The clubhouse was packed for the Annual General Meeting of MRSC on Sunday 5th November 2006. Ian Grant, Commodore, welcomed around 130 members to the meeting before starting the formalities of the Agenda. In his report, Ian thanked the many members who, week in and out, provide sterling support to the club and make it the envy of many other clubs in the harbour.
Before the election of officers, the Commodore thanked all those who were standing down from office and the following presentation were made:
Eric Dormer was presented with a cut glass ship's decanter and MRSC Plate. Eric was retiring as Hon Treasurer after 14 years in this post. He received a standing ovation.
	Nigel Roper, who  was standing down as Vice-Commodore,  was presented with a MRSC Plate.
Adrian Buswell was standing down as Sailing Secretary and received a MRSC Plate
	Mike Pearson was standing down as House Secretary and received a MRSC Plate
The Commodore also thanked Richard Munford who was standing down as a General Committee Member after 14 years. Richard was unable to attend the AGM and he will also be presented with a MRSC Plate .
Ian Grant announced that he will also be making a presentation to Rowena Spencer who was standing down as Catering Manager.
The Commodore then presented Flag Officer burgees to the new Flag Officers, Ken Osborne and John Barnett. Ken, who was standing down as Rear Commodore (Sailing) was elected Vice-Commodore and John Barnett was elected Rear Commodore (Sailing).

Bar Managers, John Brydon and Chris Dobner were jointly presented with the Commodore's Pot in recognition of their special contribution to the club.
